Code of Discipline & Sanctity
To preserve absolute sanctity and fairness in academic evaluations, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University enforces strict operational codes for examinees, exam invigilators, and vigilance squads.
1. Mandatory Code for Students (Examinees)
- Timely Reporting: Candidates must occupy their allotted seats 15 minutes before the commencement bell. Entry after 30 minutes of exam start time is strictly barred.
- Cover Page Entries: Carefully fill Enrollment Number, Roll Number, Subject Code, Paper Title, and Date on the OMR/cover page of the answer book using Blue or Black ballpoint pen only.
- Strictly Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smart watches, digital wristbands, Bluetooth earphones, chits, and programmable scientific calculators are strictly banned inside examination halls.
- Writing Protocols: Do not write name, mobile number, or identifiable religious symbols on inside pages of answer scripts. Writing on question papers or admit cards is treated as Unfair Means (UFM).
- Hall Discipline: Candidates are not permitted to leave the examination hall permanently before the completion of 2 hours.
2. Code for Invigilators & Room Supervisors
- Reporting Timeline: Invigilators must report to the Centre Superintendent 30 minutes prior on day one and 20 minutes before time on subsequent days.
- Identity & Hall Verification: Verify photo identity on the Admit Card against the Attendance Sheet and obtain signature of each student on the counterfoil.
- Answer Book Distribution: Distribute blank answer books 10 minutes prior to seated candidates and hand over question papers precisely on the stroke of the starting bell.
- Active Surveillance: Remain vigilant throughout the exam duration. Reading books, mobile browsing, or group chatting while on duty is strictly forbidden.
- Submission & Tally: Collect and count all answer books immediately after the final warning bell and deposit sealed bundles to the control room.
3. Central Flying Squad (UFM Vigilance Squad)
Random Surprise Checks
A dedicated committee of senior professors visits all halls unannounced to inspect security protocols and examine suspicious candidates.
Unfair Means (UFM) Booking
Malpractice cases are immediately booked under university statutory ordinances, seizing unauthorized material along with statement recordings.
4. Provisions for Candidates with Disabilities / Injury
Scribe (Amanuensis) Facility
Provided for candidates with 40%+ benchmark disability or temporary physical injury upon submission of a certified Medical Board certificate.
Compensatory Extra Time
Eligible PwD candidates are granted a minimum compensatory time allowance of 20 minutes per hour of examination duration.
